Override Policy

The Waters College of Health Professions Advisement Center CANNOT grant overrides to place students into courses that are full. Any such request should be taken to the professor or to the department offering the course.

Waitlist Information

When a “waitlisted” class is full, students will be able to register to be on the waitlist for that course through WINGS. The same registration rules for waitlist as for registration apply (i.e. Students will not be able to register for an alternate section of a course for which the student is already registered or if there is a time conflict. Also, students will not be able to be waitlisted for a course for which the student has not met the prerequisite.)

Those who have placed themselves on the waitlist for a course will be able to view their waitlist priority in MyGeorgiaSouthern and will receive a message when a seat has become available for them.

Once a waitlisted student sees a message that a seat is available, the student will have 10 hours in which to register for the courses. If the student does not register within this time period, the seat is given to the next student on the waitlist. For more detailed instructions, please see the Registrar’s Waitlist Instructions.

Students who are added to a class after the first class meeting should ask their instructor to verify their attendance as soon as possible.
