LPN-BSN Admissions

LPNs seeking admission to the BSN program must meet all current BSN admission criteria and follow the same application process. Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program is competitive. Requirements for admission into the School of Nursing are based on requirements in place at the time of application to the BSN Program.

In order to be considered for the BSN Program for the Fall/Spring admission cycle, applicants must have met regular admission requirements before the application deadlines of the first Friday in February for the Fall admission and the first Friday in August for the Spring admission.

LPN-BSN students are eligible to earn credit for all first semester courses in the BSN program. LPN-BSN students wishing to earn credit by proficiency exam must meet the following requirements:

NURS 3121, NURS 3160, and NURS 3211 offer proficiency credit by examination. Proficiency credit for NURS 3230 is available by successfully completing a comparable health assessment course prior to progressing to the second semester.
