Georgia Southern University Senior I nursing students were honored with the 2011 Volunteer of the Year Award for the Silver Lining Club.  This is a non-profit organization that provides a social day program for individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.

The Senior I students have been helping to organize and conduct the program every semester. The award was given at the annual board meeting for the Silver Lining Club on January 23rd at the Statesboro Library.
